Tap the Card, Get Your Password — PassCard Generator

Strong passwords are hard to remember. Password managers are great — until you need to log in on someone else’s device. PassCard Generator takes a different approach: a physical card you print once and carry with you.

The Password Card Idea

A password card is a grid of random characters you keep in your wallet. For each service, you remember only a simple “reading rule” — which cells to tap, in which order. Even if someone finds the card, they can’t reconstruct your passwords without knowing the rule.

PassCard Generator brings that card to your browser as a PWA. A 5×8 grid is filled with upper and lowercase letters, digits, and symbols. Tap cells to build a password; the strength meter updates in real time.

Four Tabs, One Workflow

The Card tab is where you tap. Select cells one by one; tap the same cell multiple times to repeat a character. Chosen characters appear as chips at the bottom, ready to copy.

The Generate tab lets you type a pattern like A1B3C5D7 — row letter plus column number — and the app reads off the corresponding characters automatically. Keep a short pattern note per service and you can reproduce any password as long as you have the card.

The Backup tab manages your card’s key code — a compact string that uniquely identifies your grid. Save the key code somewhere safe, and you can restore the exact same card on any device.

The Settings tab handles random generation, seed-based generation (same seed → same card, always), and character-set toggles for uppercase, lowercase, digits, and symbols.

From the Print tab you can send the card directly to a printer or download it as a PNG. Tucked into your wallet, it works even when you have no network and no device — just look up the cell, type the character.

No Install, No Server

Open it in any browser and it works immediately. All processing runs in the browser; no data is sent anywhere. Install it as a PWA for offline access, or keep the tab open — either way, your card is always there.
