The DotLog app commits to respecting and protecting user privacy. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, use, and share.

Information Collection
Information We Directly Collect
This app does not directly collect any personal information from you. All data you enter (habit logs, daily memos, category settings, marks, and presets) is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Stored locally on your device using the Room database (SQLite)
- Never transmitted to our servers
- Deleted when you uninstall the app (unless exported by you)
Information Collected by Third Parties
This app uses Google AdMob for advertising, which may automatically collect:
- Advertising ID (resettable identifier for advertising)
- Device information (device model, OS version, screen size)
- IP address (for approximate location)
- Ad interaction data (views, clicks)
- App usage information
Purpose of Use
Information collected by third parties is used for:
- Displaying advertisements within the app
- Personalizing ads based on user interests
- Measuring ad performance and effectiveness
- Preventing fraud and abuse
- Improving advertising services

How to Stop External Transmission (Opt-Out):
You can limit or reset ad personalization through your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Allow Apps to Request to Track (turn OFF)
Data Retention Period
App Data (logs, memos, categories, marks, presets): Retained on device until the app is uninstalled, or until you delete it manually within the app (Settings → Delete log data / Reset all data).
AdMob Data: Managed by Google LLC according to their retention policies. Please refer to Google’s data retention policy.
International Data Transfers
Information collected by Google AdMob may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. Google uses standard contractual clauses and other mechanisms to ensure adequate protection of your data.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request information about data collected about you
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data (reset advertising ID)
- Opt-Out: Opt out of personalized advertising
- Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format (where applicable)
- Objection: Object to certain data processing activities
To exercise these rights regarding AdMob data, please refer to Google’s Ad Settings or contact Google directly.
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Categories of Personal Information: Advertising ID, device identifiers, IP address, usage data
- Sharing/Sale: We do not sell personal information. AdMob may share data with advertising partners for personalized advertising purposes.
- Right to Know: You can request what personal information has been collected
- Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your information
- Right to Opt-Out: Limit the use of sensitive personal information through device settings

European Users (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland:

Permissions
The app requires the following permissions:
- Internet access: Required for displaying advertisements
- Biometric authentication: Required for the optional app lock feature using fingerprint or face authentication
The app does NOT request permissions for:
- Location (precise or approximate location tracking)
- Camera/microphone
- Contacts
- Storage (reading/writing external files beyond the backup feature)
- Other sensitive information access
Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Google AdMob and Children: AdMob serves only non-personalized ads to users identified as children or in child-directed apps. We have configured AdMob to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
- All habit logs and settings are processed and stored locally on your device
- We do not store any user data on our servers
- AdMob data is protected by Google’s security measures (encryption in transit and at rest)
- The optional biometric lock uses the Android Biometric API and does not transmit biometric data externally
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Policy Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

データの保持期間

ただし、電子的な送信または保存の方法は100%安全ではありません。お客様の情報を保護するよう努めていますが、絶対的なセキュリティを保証することはできません。
ポリシーの変更
当社は、本プライバシーポリシーを随時更新する場合があります。変更を行う際は、本ポリシーの上部にある「最終更新日」を更新します。本ポリシーを定期的にご確認いただくことをお勧めします。変更後もアプリを継続して使用することは、更新されたポリシーへの同意を意味します。
